Its always interesting to meet people who share the same field, even if your field is large, but usually a joy when networking with roughly 17-18 other serious note brokers who you probably wouldn’t meet at any other time. There’s emphasis on serious for a reason: most who try to break into the note business lack the due diligence to educate themselves which can be a nauseating experience.
I couldn’t even get around to speaking with everyone, which is a good thing in this case. Tomorrow we have a financial calculator class (by the way, the calculator was $40) for a few hours so its another opportunity to network.
If you ever get the chance to attend a seminar, class, or convention on note brokering or the note industry itself, go for it! The amount of knowledge and ideas and encouragement is well worth whatever the price may be.
