Seems to me sharing is sometimes under lock and key in this industry. And before I hear stuff about “you can’t share all your secrets” or “your competition will copy you and take business” let me explain what I mean.

What I don’t mean is to go to every new broker and tell them every aspect of your success. Nor do I mean spend hundreds of dollars on marketing and blab about your secret to the world.

No.

But what does it hurt to let a fellow broker know about a good printer? Or a good website? Or book? The answer: nothing.

As a christian I must not conform to the image of this world. That means that the cut-throat dealings of corporate america have no place in my company. Furthermore, the note industry is too small to play that way.

In a seminar I attended last year by Kent Anderson, he mentioned that people who are shady don’t last long because they are eventually blacklisted by people who refuse to play by those rules. Then the news spreads… Guess what? I’ve never been blacklisted, but I believe him.

So the next time yo have the urge to hoard tips or a good book on marketing or whatever the case, remember:
